so DOES creatine really get old?

i have a creatine powder jar which is 1 year over the expiry date.Ive posted and asked this before but i didnt get any direct answers.So can i use it? (it has a little lumps but thats it).Some say that creatine transforms to something else when it has to do with water,some say it doesnt,So whats your opinion? Should i take it? (its a lot of money for me).

im using like some 2 year old stuff. Its a little hard but seems to be working normal

mine is some powder that expired at my store and we had to send the top back for credit, so i took home the powder in the tub. it has been sitting out on my dresser, no top for a month and it works fine, which leads me to believe it doesnt oxidize like ALA, or definately not as rapidly...
