Any of you ladies try Melanotan 2? I have done some research into it, and am interested in it, but am wondering if anyone can give their personal opinion. Like it? Love it? Hate it?

I've been on it for two years this month. I love it. I suffer from psoriasis and this really help covers up the redness of my skin. The color from the melanotan covers up the redness and gives me a nice looking tan. Plus I can control how much and how dark the tan is.

I used it a few years ago. I went to Florida and did not even need any sun block.
It does have some side effects with men. If you know what it is you are probably laughing right now.
From what I recall it was expensive and hard to get too.

It doesn't seem too hard to get, but it is a little pricey, that is one of the reasons I wanted some unbiased advice before I go brown.
I can only imagine what those side effects are :D

Hey Trex4

So Glad I found this website.

I Curse the first time I ever touched Melanotan2.

My boyfriend was a body builder and told me that it had no side effects just made it safer tanning. Being in the music industry vainity took it's toll. I thought I would give it a try before heading to L.A I was on melanotan2 for 6 months.

The funny thing is when you look up the product you never find any bad symptoms until you get them yourself and type the actual symptom... It's funny how much comes up.

I really don't know where to start... At first I loved it who wouldn't an easy tan right? pfft. after a few months You become run down, no energy because your liver doesn't cope. My skin is messed up because it adds layers of skin which dehydrates your skin and changes the texture to very ruff and black bags came soon after. Also created eye problems ... I went to a specialist and it made sense to him that what was in melanotan created eye disease. Which I can give you more information on, Thank God mine wasn't totally developed due to being on it for only a 6month period although I still have to check my eyes every 6months to make sure nothing develops over time. I had weird bumps growing on my body lumps of fat (so grose) and I can keep going onwith other side effects. It is one thing, iF I could ever take back... I would do anything!. Also I believe the symptoms come over time.. I hope you make the right desicion... A tan really isn't everything. Le tan in a can... really does a good job! If you have any more questions just ask. I can even put some photos up!

also be aware that this product has been tested on only men, Maybe this is why women are getting worse side affects. it affects hormones and if y our on the pill and on melanotan too... That wouldn't be a very good Idea. Also creates a higher risk of getting breast cancer and melanotan 2 goes through the blood and brain barrier, obviously that could do some harm on it's own.

First there are amost no reports of confirmed eye disease, that is false. Second you probably went out in the sun more and even on Melanotan you have to use sun block and moisturize your skin.
Just like anything some people will react differently to Melanotan.

I can give 10 people aspirin and I'll get probably 4 different responses to it. Melanotan does not create lumps of fat. Please, I've been on it for two years and not one problem. I have herditary coronary disease and take meds for it, Melanotan does nothing to interfere with it.

If your symptoms are real, then you are one in truly a couple million users. I have friends who use it and so does my wife, never, every have I heard of those symptoms, in fact go to melanotan.org and look for eye disease and lumps of fat, you won't find those symptoms at all. Know what you speak of before scaring other users or potential users. Do you have verifiable proof Melanotan caused all your problems?

No, but it has always seemed interesting to me. I need a tan, but don't want to fake n bake much. Let us know if you decide to give it a go.

I loved it. I never had any problematic side effects. I used to burn in the sun but with MT2 I just got dark as ever, no sunburn at all.
I'm still noticing that I'm less prone to burning and that |I tan really well and, I've not used any in over a year.

Peptidewarehouse, I have no intention to be anything but sincere in what I say and the only reason I came on this sight is to warn and hopefully scare if that's what it takes to give people a chance to realize the harm in what they are injecting, there's no malice in what I say.
It has not yet been approved by the FDA in the US. Which makes it easier to understand why melanotan.org referring to Melanotan II hasn’t been around long enough for us to be able to look at the long-term effects this hormone could have on the body And taking any drug that hasn’t been extensively trialled will always have its potential dangers that's just logical.

As for eye disease,"Central serous retinopathy (CSR) has been linked by several authors to the therapeutic use of adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) or corticosteroids or to endogenous ACTH hypersecretion. Various pathogenic mechanisms have been suggested to explain this phenomenon; all relate to the steroids as the causative agents"

"ACTH has a melanotrophic part, melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH), that may affect RPE cells, which are melanin-pigmented cells of neuroectoderm origin, and alter their ionic pumping properties. This is supported by evidence in the literature for the effect of MSH on animal RPE cells, as well as on other secreting epithelia."Melanotan and melanotan II are both analogs of (alpha) MSH and thus sharing the same effects. MSH (again, Melanotan is just a synthetic copy of MSH) not only stimulates the melanocytes to produce melanin, but also cause proliferation of melanocytes:I have more then enough proof I personally went to a specialist,he had seen several cases that were linked to Melonatan2. Fell free to ask for his number and I'll pass through info.

As for the rough skin. Melanotan builds up a thicker layer of skin on your body face during melanotan II use, Not until you stop using melanotan and the layers and darkness fades will you realise the skin underneath is dehidrated and larger pores due to the sebum which increases oil flow. also I have heard 100 complaints about aging under eye bags wrinkles rough skin that occurred after a small amount of time after using melanotan two, search then net it's everywhere.

The pill is a hormone, melanotan is a hormone, this is a dangerous combination for women, Im running out of time and I have to go.

By the time the drug makes it to market - and there are other variables which come into play here - usually the drug hasn't been tested on more than a couple thousand, at most. Think a couple thousand is a lot compared to the millions that will use drug after it's approved? Only when a drug is being used by millions will many side effects come to light. This makes perfect sense given the vast variability of human physiology.
Food for thought.

Im only saying this to save other people from making a huge miskake, stop while you can. we only live once.
