zma

The evidence says it is a waste of money. One of the largest frauds on the suppliment industry. If you can convince yourself that it works, go ahead and use it though, the mind is a powerful tool. Personally, I find telling myself drinking a glass of water before bed will triple my rate of muscle growth, works just as well. The power of suppliments like zma is in their placebo effect, so actually its just a matter of believing it will work.

I took a few bottles of zma back in the day... didn't notice any difference in/out of the gym. One of them actually had some downers in it and really fucked up my sleep.

Be careful not to take a multi-vitamin with that ZMA, it has the same ingrediants in a different ratio. It will mess the whole zinc to magnesium ratio up, and you won't get that testosterone boost.

::bites tounge, while trying to keep a straight face::

Cell Tech has been proven in clinical studies to be 1850% more effect than regular creatine for building mass. Just thought you guys should know that.

That`s good to know BBF, I`ve posted elsewhere on my lack of sleep problems and was pointed in that direction. As long as it works I`m gonna keep doing it. lol Whatever it is.

Then again, I have a hard time noticing small adjustments in my daily living/ training.

ZMA isn't bad to take gonelifting, its just overprices, when you can get the minerals in a multi-vitamin. I find 6 mg of melatonin works well for sleep. WHen you are training hard, sometimes its very difficult to sleep at night.

I take zinc and magenesium (bought separately, $4 for both), and it helps me sleep deeper (mental effect? maybe, but I doubt it). Deeper sleep is good for recovery. 6 mg of melatotin gives me nightmares like you wouldn't believe.

I have nightmares anyway, the melatonin just makes them more vivid and real. Better than not sleeping though.

I like valerian root if I can't fall asleep; maybe 3mg of melatonin if I'm desperate. ZMA isn't supposed to make you fall asleep easier anyway, only to increase the quality of SWS and REM.

For some zinc, magnesium, and aspartate, it's terribly overprices, IMO.

Oh yeah, When I was talking about it, I was reffering to better sleep/rest. I had no idea about that "anabolic effect" thing BBF quoted up there. lol anyway I do feel a little more rested (I think)lol When I wake up after taking it.

Melatoninin always gives me dreams about fucking Brittany Spears so I can't go wrong with that

I hate you!.... anyway what brand are you using??? All I get from mine is having my arm ripped out of the socket by a flesh eating zombie, then having my face pushed down into the rotten, putrid water it rose out of and being drowned to death, and other such fun scenarios.

Damn-- time for me to get some Melatonin!

I used ZMA-- didn't do much. I found it cheaper as a BodyTech brand (vitaminshoppe.com). I did notice that after I took it once for 2 months straight, that I got sick after I came off it. I guess all the zinc elevated my immune system and when that was gone-- so was my defense during "cold season".

I don't know about the test boosting aspect, but I buy the minerals seperatly and combine them in the same ratios and holy shit do I get some awesome dreams on it.

I also feel really relaxed and rested. I take it every other day (training days) so I definetly notice results.

Zinc Monomethionine and aspartate and Magnesium monomethionine and aspartate and vitamin b6. Zinc plays a crucial role in the body production of testosterone... somewhere between cholesterol and dhea. BBf is right... it is overpriced, and I personally don't take it. But, I do take 50 mg of zinc before bed and I like the effects.

Not to change the subject, but if you can't sleep, one word:

Ambien

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

no next day grogginess or side effects
