Zip Drive Help Needed

Have an Iomega Zip drive and YMK came home with 100MB zip disks. I was under the impression that I could store a lot of stuff on these but after about 10 porn avi's it was full.

Is there a disk larger than 100MB that I can buy? Do I need to know what kind of Iomega Zip drive I own when I go to buy the disks? Should I just scrap this and go for a Jazz Drive?

Zip disks top out at 100 Mb. (which used to be a lot of storage, back when they came out.) Jazz disks can get around a gig, but the blank disks are ridiculously expensive. Why not just a cd-rewritable drive? Much cheaper for the drive, and the blank media is dirt cheap too!

Just get a external USB firewire drive. 20 - 80 gig should do ya if your looking for something that you can carry around to plug into another machine.

Zip/Jazz are so 1990's...

Get a jahonkin big HDD or a CD Burner..

CD r/rw disks are dirt cheap and hold 700+ Meg each...

I have a CD player and a CD burner - so here is another stupid question. Do I have to by the 'media' CD's or can I use the music ones?

When I save a Word document and want to revise it and save the chances it just overwrites the original right? I don't want to have 20 versions of one file on a CDRW.

MUSIC/MEDIA CD's.. Same thing, just burned differently.

Yes, if you close out the Burn session and then later burn another file onto the disk it should overwrite it...

No, they don't. They make 250mb drives and disks, and I believe they're coming out with (or have already) with larger ones. I dunno how much larger though. But yeah, use a CD Burner instead.
