Ok, if you are completely lazy or don't have time to read this, here is the deal.
The current "conserns" with youth using steroids and some crazy numbers of students in our h-schools using steroids...
throughout the years (1997-2001) an average 49% of highschool students used pot... and ONLY 2.5 % used steroids...
Just thought to give you some food for thought... I was searching for this data for a long time after those crazy articles from media that were freaking out over our next generation's steroid usage...

i don't know about that. i know a lot of teenage kids since i act like one and they all smoke pot and do steroids. lol. especially the pot thing.......i'd say 75% of em do that, and about half of them use steroids before the age of 20. just from what i see and hear around here locally though.

Warbirds, you have a very limited sampling. Consider the prissy-prissy perfect suburban neighborhood high school where one kid is suspended a year and when a kid is caught with alcohol it makes the papers. That'll even out your stats real quick. Remember, these are averages. Also, many inner-city kids are using some illicit substance, but <2% even have a desire or the money to use anabolics.

Consider the prissy-prissy perfect suburban neighborhood high school where one kid is suspended a year and when a kid is caught with alcohol it makes the papers. That'll even out your stats real quick. Remember, these are averages. Also, many inner-city kids are using some illicit substance, but <2% even have a desire or the money to use anabolics.

i don't know. i live in a very upscale suburb here in WPB. my suburb is one of the richest in the state. and the rich kids here are the biggest steroid freaks. maybe the inner city kids even it out.....they don't use roids just the other illicit stuff.

Winny,d-bol, and abombs. Clomid, what the fuck is that(very few people that I know in the inner city know or use this stuff, they just come off and most seem to do fine. Winny is everywhere due to dog fighting. Cycles, LOL try just using it til you come off. The diets are so poor, most people just get cut and strong.

Alot of folks get turned out to D-bol or know somebody that has in the joint. Oh, and the gov. knows about this, its just so much other shit going on poppin' people in the inner city for juice is crazy.

With these studies or what not, I find people in the inner city will not admit to shit, to paranoid thinking the person collecting the data will turn them in. I never by into these studies.

I'll agree with you that most studies are just whacked. Especially studies of this sort. However, although there IS anabolic drug usage among inner city youth, it is nothing near that of other illicit substances. I'm not sure how well you know your inner city youth, it sounds like you do know some of them very well. What I've found is that it's like any other group, or the group of pot-smokers that Warbird referred to. Many times your 'group' or the group you know is going to be using the same stuff. You happen to associate with the kids that are using AAS. That is still a very small sample of the kids. If you spend time with an entire class of inner-city youth you'll find that the vast majority drink alcohol, many do pot/e(x)/acid, and very, very few are engaged in anabolics, as well. Sure, the scrappers, if they can get it, will obviously use it, but given the choice between getting high and taking winny/dbol, I can guarantee which one gets chosen 99% of the time.

And the occasional 6'2" 140lb 19 year old asking me about protein powder to use along with his test shot therapy does it too. so that skews my view also, forgot to mention that. also the fact of there being a "pill form" seems to make usage a lot higher than i thought it would be. its pretty easy for a kid to get a hold of a dbol or winny tab, and figure its a quick easy way to get bigger for sports or the girls. and with all the media attention, it figures to get worse.

lol. very funny! i have found that it is getting worse and worse. much worse just recent, i was pretty shocked myself at how many younger kids were doing one type of AAS or another.
