Do people actually use this saying in "real" life?

While at work the other day, I accidently phoned someone who was a competitor of the company I work for. She explained who she worked for and then added "you're owned," then hung up.

I just laughed. Some people send too much time on the internet.

all the time, especially when i'm driving and i cut someone off. another good instance is at the grocery store and i beat someone to the last shopping cart. j/k

but, given the competitive nature of people, i predict that "owned" or some version of it will become more common than "thank you" in the coming future.
