I can't help but think he had something to with her disappearance. I know there no proof but the whole things seems kinda fishy.

my guess is she probably got knocked up, went to the Sen. He coudln't handle it cause she was going to keep the baby and had someone with influence and power to take care of her

It think it was something like that. When you have power you can make someone disappear. Afterall, they never found Jimmy Hoffa. I guess I wouldn't make a good juror if they ever was a trial.

yeah this is pretty damn sad....If he knocked her up that would make for plenty of motive, I believe he comes from a Conservative area which would kill his relection campaign...The News people were in his home town talking to people and it seemed like Mayberry

One of the theories here is that she set up her own dissapearance-leaving her packed bags in the hallway of her apt- after he dumped her. She figured that if she dissapearred and it looked like foul pay, the guy would be forced to owning up to the cops about their sexual relationship-possibly destroying his marriage and political career. Brilliant, actually. Then she shows back up saying she was so distraught that she had "to get away from everyone and everything". By then its over for him.

Either way the opposing party got ahold of his affair possibly setting him up....If he makes it through this the best he could ever hope for is for a role like Kennedy...He'll never become anything more then a Sen.

i live in his district actually. people here are VERY religious so thats gonna be the big hurdle. he has been involved in politics here for so many years. hell his wife lives about thirty minutes away from me. The local paper have been full of letters to the editor about condit, and its a 50-50 split with some saying that they dont care and others saying that he is now a terrible congressman. only thing i can fault him for was having an affair with such an ugly woman. BTW, his daughter is damn hot.

Condit reminds me of the character of the husband (played by Bill Macy in the movie). He had his wife killed and then was caught in one lie after another.

Just within the last day or two Condit has admitted to having an intimate relationship with Levy. I think it would've been more productive if he has shared the details of his relationship with Levy earlier on. However I feel he handled this situation wisely by not discussing any information with the media. The media was covering this story insatiately after it broke and have been trying to instigate a national scandal. Condit has been cleared as a suspect in the disappearance of Chandra Levy. There are many theories surrounding this case, but I think it would be better if the media only presented the facts and concentrated on the search rather than a possible affair.

Of course, the guy has a motive for killing her---to cover up the affair. But, don't you think he would lie about the affair regardless of whether or not he killed her--- since he has a family and political career to lose?
If you impeached the credibility of any man because of he lied about having an affair, then everyman's credibility would surely be impeached. See Clinton.

Hmmm .... I think that his attempt to have that flight attendant sign an affadavit (spelling?) stating that they did not have an affair is trying to get someone to commit perjury. Seems pretty serious to me and I have to suspect his claims that he is providing all the information he has to help find Chandra.

Under normal circumstances, I agree with you. I don't care who is sleeping with who. However, when one of the parties is a 24 year old girl who disappears off the face of the planet and her married lover denies her as being anything more than a "good friend," red flags immediately go up.

It definitely would have made a difference of public opinion if the Congressman would have just come clean at the beginning of this whole thing. It seems he kept quiet for a reason until he started feeling the pressure. If Chandra Levy were alive (which I seriously doubt she is) she would've come forward by now and not put her family through this agony. Wait a few more weeks and then the Congressman may possibly offer more information.
First off the congressmen is a public figure and politics is a dirty business so if he wanted a private life he should of chosen another line of work !! His credibility is shot and he says he has no intentions of leaving office but this whole thing is swarming around him and will not go away until the body of this woman is found .I think foul play came into the deal and he is an idiot for not telling the truth from the start about his affair because when he is bought to trial,if at all, the prosecutors will FIRST bring up the point that he lied and his credibility with the jury will be ZREO.He better hope they do not find a body and other evidence that links him to any foul play because he wont have a snowballs chance in hell in the courtroom.I just feel for the parents because their child is gone and not anyone here can relate to that unless it happens to YOU! 
Condit is not my Congressman, but Modesto is about 20 min from where I live.
My brother used to deliver office supplies to his office for years and he told me never met a bigger asshole in his life. Cocky, concieted, and ignorant. Never a thank you or greeting for years. All his staff were asses also.
All these politicos think they are above the law, they are protected by the police and power brokers. basically they can get away with quite a bit that you or I could never.
Personally, I think he did it. No proof of it, just a feeling....

Well I wouldn't be suprised either way. But if someone else had her killed I bet a body would have turned up by now. It seem only the professionals can kill someone without a body turning up.

I hate fucking politicians. He absolutely had her done in. These politicians think that they can get away with anything. He probably had her killed thinking of his political career and his reelection. Who in the hell do these 534 punks think they are sitting in Washington and telling us what we can do. Fuck democrats and republicans.
