You -vs- the Red Baron

Here's the scenario:
You are put into the cockpit of an F-15 fighter jet. You are shown how to steer it, speed up, slow down, and fire weapons. Forget learning how to take off and land, its not needed. After you are shown these things, you get an hour in the air to practice flying. If you crash, you magically end up in the air again, like a video game.
After the hour, you end up face to face with the Red Baron in his old' jalopy biplane. You start off 2 miles apart flying toward each other, and its a fight to the death.

Who wins, advanced technology w/no skill you or primitive machine w/highly skilled Red Baron?

Thats my guess, too. I don't know if he could even get off a good shot, with the f-15 passing him at 150 to 600 mph. And what will he be putting along at, 45mph or so? I don't even know if his guns would be effective even if he landed a shot.
On the other hand, with just an hour experience, it would be pretty hard lining up the guns for a clean shot. Just keeping the plane steady would be hard as hell, trying to deal with g-forces for the first time, nausea, and all that shit. Its hard enough just on a video game.

A friend of mine said that the Red Baron would win, because of his experience. I said a missle would take him out, and he said the missle wuldnt even lock onto a biplane, something about heatseeking ??? and that i would probably crash if anything.

Put both of em in a FW-190 THAT would be air combat worth watching.

The F15 would not be able to slow down enough to even fire against and hit
the slow bi plane. Hell you would blow by it so fast it would be a blur.

Unless you used a radar guided missile.
And in that case you could fire that shit from 10+ miles out..

at a mile out the F15 could fire a single burst of 2mm rounds and tear the biplane to shreds

the max range on that biplanes guns if 100yards at best.

just flying by that biplane at mach 1 would send it into a spin LOL.
