just the regularsblueta2 said:really, did you blow away some annoying she-males?
stilleto said:i agree. they are doing something.
I once had a guy tell me how annoying it was to see this overweight woman in the gym every day on the treadmill. He said her weight never changed and she just wasted her time because she probably overate.
I said maybe she does overeat, but if she didn't workout, her weight would definately change. higher.
plus, she was doing her heart a favor. so what if she was overweight. that's her bidness.

I'm talking even fatter than youngguns.

CO B-man said:Yup! But you usually do not see them there for very long. Starts out a great idea until it is realized that it akes continuous work and dedication.
Unfortunately the one thing i see too often is that the newcomers to the gym overwork themselves everyday and probably see very little results simply because of the lack of knowledge. Then they lose motivation again. Thats sad
blueta2 said:well like with any struggle, it takes a few tries before they get it right.
I was not fat but carried some extra weight when I joined a gym over 8 yrs ago.
I was at the gym 6-7 days a week and saw no results at all for the first 3 months. I wanted to give up so many times. What saved me was the regulars at the gym who talked to me and kept me motivated. No one judged me.
I stuck to it and within 6 months I was down from 150 lbs to 135 from a size 14 to a 5. I could not have done that without the help other gym members offered me.
