You just never know

Long story short.

I work with a lady, probably in her 50's, has a younger sister, 40's, somewhere in Alabama. The younger sister is a real fitness buff.

Two days ago, she's on a treadmill at her gym, has a heart attack, she drops, the treadmills hurls her backwards into an elliptical machine head first, boom, game over.

Massive brain hemorrhage, never woke up. They harvested her organs yesterday and unplugged her.

You just never know I guess......

Last month, two people where I work died of accidents in the same week. One was a car crash and the other was working on his lawnmower in his shed, carbon monoxide got him. There are no guarantees. Let the people you love know that you love them every chance you get.

not trying to be insensitive, but with all that's going on in the news right now as far as Ephedra goes, is that a concern with this woman?

hmmm. Good question. I honestly don't know. Not insensitive at all, bud.

It just got me thinking, you're here one minute and gone the next.

All the crap you had going that day doesn't mean squat.....

I'm sorry the lady died, sorry for her family, etc., but I have often thought to myself that dying on the treadmill would be a pretty good way for me to go, because I'd be doing something I loved. (Yes, I REALLY do love running on the treadmill, because I totally FLY, and whenever I'm doing it, I'm thinking "Damn, life is GOOD!" :D) The main thing I DON'T want to happen is that I live too long to where I can't take care of myself. I want to die living, not live dying. I'd like to live longer than 40 (since I'm already there), but each day should be treated as a gift.
