I saw my mom naked once........not so good.

i dont have much experience yet so this is the best story i got.

just about to eat dinner, tones go off for a medical emergency for a guy choking. dispatch says hes blue and unresponsive while we're still in route

get on scene, try to clear airway and no dice, use the forcepts and pull some pizza out of the airway. try to bag him and still resistance. reach back in there and pull out a friggin piece of pizza that was absolutely huge. i'm talkin like 2 inches long 1 inch wide. everyone is like wtf that thing is huge

anyways, tubed him, bag and him cpr while some of the medics pushed some drugs like epi and stuff.

did chest compressions all the way en route :( tiring stuff. right before hospital he got a slight pulse back but still no breathing.

turns out he stayed alive for a few days but never work back up. at least his family had a chance to say goodbye i guess

oh yea, seen some stellar MVA's but no real serious injuries i dont think just tons of patients adults/child/entrapments with neck and back injuries you name it, all in one accident. place looked like a war zone with a car ramming through a toll booth line and finally into the toll booth

funny story, lady passes out in the middle of the mall and straight laces her head open. laying there prone in a pool of blood about 5ft in diameter in the middle of the mall with everyone goin about there business. just walkin by and tryin not to look. no one stops to help, witness dont even stick around. people are idiots! when we got there tried to see if she was responsive and she freakin screamed and jumped up with blood all drenched in her hair and pourin down her face. just about scared the shit out of us too!!!

i might be getting another part time job where the ambulance company has the coroner contract. like when someones killed guess who goes and scrapes up the body :) surely i'll see some fucked up shit there

WHen i was 7, my friend Danny and I (he was a year younger) were crossing the street to go to his house. We were on the curb and i saw a car coming. He didnt see it and kept running and I screamed NO!!! The camaro was speeding down our little side street, hit him and dragged him who knows how many feet. He died after my autn came outside to try CPR. He died right there onthe street in front of my eyes. Tragic thing to see at age 7. To this day i have recurring dreams of driving up onto a car crash scene i see wreckage everywhere and dead bodies :(

One night we were going to a club and on our way there there was a big traffic slow down. I was a passenger and we were in the right lane. A guy on a motorcycle had just been hit by a car running a stop sign and he was killed. The 1st cop car was just getting there. He was very obviously dead on the shoulder. It was awful. The blood didn't wash off the road for a week or two.

Then in the obits a couple of days later it said he was only 32 or 33 and had a wife and 2 little girls. It was SO sad. :(

compound fracture of the left humorous when i was 7. that was freaky.

had an extremely inexperienced passenger on my motorcycle (she claimed she had a lot of experience, i was too trusting) fight the lean through a turn on a mountain road. wasn't speeding either, but she weighed about as much as i did and it was enough that i couldn't make the turn. hard braked. skid across the road and hit an embankment. when i came to, she was on the ground holding her stomache. shattered her spleen on impact and internal bleeding. found out later that if they wouldn't of life-flighted her out of there she would've died in the ambulance en-route to the hospital.

JUST SAY NO TO CURB MONKIES.

There was this motorcycle accident where the guy bit the big one and ended up face down on the asphalt - no helmet - after a god awful crash. We could see blood pooling out from the sides of his head - and he was really face down, eyes on the pavement - when they turned him over, you could hear the whooooosh of the last breath of air in his lungs leave his body.

and the scary thing is, a lot of guys think riding without a helmet is "cool."

i don't suit up with protective gear to protect myself from myself. i suit up to protect myself from everyone else.

many years ago, my roomate and i were kickin' it in our dorm room high off our asses. we heard some loud weirdass noise then what sounded like a couple explosions. so we decide to go outside to check it out and there is some car that had driven into a big steel pole that holds up those highway signs (basically a steel pole about the size of a tree). front end of the car is mangled - looks like 2 people trapped in the car which is on fire. we were the 2nd adn 3rd person there. fortunately the first dude there already is spraying the car witha fire extinguisher he yanked out of the library. both people in the car were screaming and no way to get them out. forntunately the fire dept showed up pretty quick and went to work. they got the chick out pretty quick. jaws of life and a buzzsaw and shit to get them out. then they go to work on the driver. that fucker is just screaming non stop. at the same time they've closed off the road (pretty major road - smallish college town with about 250k people) and are waiting for a helicopter to land. we figured that was odd because neither person in the car looked that fucked up. well low and behold, the guy who appeared to be the driver wasn't actaully the driver, he was sitting behind the driver. the actual driver was somehow jammed up under the steering wheel. after they got the guy out who was sitting behind him, the driver kinda slumped out of the car, obviously dead. it was weird though becuase the EMTs were acting like dude was already dead - all of a sudden they rushed over to him and pulled him out and started doing cpr on him. maybe he showed signs of life or something. anyway they stopped pretty quick. helicopter took off and dude was just lying out in the road dead. he had long pants on. soaked in blood and u could see obvious compound fractures in both legs (among other things) sticking through his pants. not anything i want to see again.

i saw some dudes back get chopped to fuck at the river by a propeller.

I was driven to work early one morning and there was a pickup truck in front of me that crossed the center line of the highway and crashed head on into a gravel truck.

The young woman driven must have fallen asleep at the wheel.

It was a mess. All I saw was the blue smoke of the tires from the gravel truck when he hit the brakes. She basically hit him at full speed as it was by a turn and he had no chance to stop or slow down. I didn't know what happened at first as all I saw was smoke. I pulled my car over and ran to the truck, the rad and block of hte pickup were pushed all the way into the drivers seat.

Took the pulse of the woman and there was none. She was bleeding heavily from the nose and ears. Another passerbay called 911 while we tried to calm down the gravel truck driver who was a mess. All of a sudden we could see the chest of the woman start heaving and we rushed to try and help her and talk to her.

A few minutes later the ambulance came, they didn't have the jaws of life in theirs and determined that they couldn't wait for the other ambulance to come. They asked me and a few other men to help tear off the door and metal around the truck so they could get her out.

I will never forget how this woman looked as the paramedics removed her. I was less then a foot away holding the door of the truck overhead. She was like a rag doll. Her legs and arms were just flopping, basically every bone in them broke. I don't know how she was alive.

When the police came to my work for some follow up questions they informed me that she died in the hospital due to massive internal injuries. There wasn't much that wasn't broken.

I am on this highway lots and it still brings back thoughts of this crash even 10 years later.

yea man you gotta remeber if you hit something at 70mph if that impact doesnt kill you your organs are slamming inside your body at 70mph too. lots of times the aorta gets sheered right off and they just bleed out

First one when I was a kid, saw a jeep flipped over, the guy was pinned under the roll bar, had just happened, (no cops yet)....

Went out on a date in HS, was walking to the car with the girl... heard gunshots... was driving out of the parking lot, and there was the deadguy on the ground, right by the exit to the parking lot (no cops yet again) (BTW I lived in STL)

Last one is almost funny....Was driving around with some college buddies (they came to visit my hometown) this car is throwing gang signs at us... this kid in the back (who was from jersey) is like hey what if I throw a ____ sign at them (that he has learned from a roomate of his from chicago) me and the dude in the front are like- don't be a jackass your whole life... anyway, a few minutes passes and another car passes us and gets the cars occupants attention.... the two cars were throwing gang signs back and forth.... Pulled up to a light, we were in the right lane behind one of the cars, the other car (the one that was fucking with us the first time) was next to them in the left lane.... The car on the left started spaying bullets into the car on the right, me and a buddy hit the floor in the front of our car... the guys in our back seat were so freaked they did not even get down.... The car in front of us was riddled with holes, 4 dead dudes in it (right on our front bumper) got the hell out of there as did everyone else on the street at that time......

when i was at sleepaway camp as a kid, we took a day trip to go gem hunting on a mountain that had a good reputation for garnets, to get to the site we had to walk through a guys orchard, where we found a vw bug parked under a tree, apparently som kid had offed himself in the car by putting a hose/rag combo in the tailpipe and into the passenger window. We found him in mid august. he had been there about two weeks.

makes me gag 25 years later.

ewww......that musta been something to see

Central Booking in Manhattan... half a dozen 'ghosts' -- tiny Hispanic guys from Honduras, some place like that. Boy prostitutes with late-stage AIDS, covered with running, bleeding sores and wrapped in bloody sheets, hence the name. I have no idea how they came to be there.

The other prisoners stayed as far away from them as they could get, and the guards too. One poor little bastard didn't even have the strength to turn on a water fountain, so I had to do it for him.

Saw a guy jump off the 12th floor of a building. It made a very loud cracking sound when he landed. It wasn't a pleasant experience.

Oh SHIT! I just remembered that when i was little kid somebody jumped out of their 15th or so floor apparment on Lex while my friends and i and a nanny were in that Baskin & Robbins that used to be in the low seventies, we heard the screaming, ran outside and i damn near stepped into two things: one, my buddies puke, two, a piece of the jumpers scull. It looked a bit like a piec of bloody coconut shell, with the husk still on it.

Yes,

Last summer, I was with the Girlfriend, and we were driving back from somewhere, when on the other side of the highway, we saw an accident. We must have just came up early enough, since there was hardly any traffic from nosy people pulling over to watch this poor soul, but there was a cop there probably waiting for an ambulance to arrive. I thought it was weird since there was only the cop standing there, and none of the other drivers. the cars were a truck w/ no load, and a regular small car. The truck was pretty badly totaled, and the car was like ripped open, and totally done. As we passed we kind of got a chill, and a weird feeling from not seeing anybody there yet, except one cop, at such a bad accident. then we looked over again, and there was a blue plastic tarp in the shape of a body, on the side of the truck ( off to the shoulder) and there as another right in back of the car. We reallized nobody survived. Wow....I have must of slowed down to a crawl driving home after seeing that. What a shame....poor soul.

Was going to zz top in beaumont with my wife and another couple. Then all of a sudden we see this exepedition rolling at 14 times going the opposite direction on the other side of the freeway. You could see arms flying out about out the windows plus tons of convienence store crap(lighters, candy, chips novelties) flying all over the freeway(they were carrying a load back for their convenience store in Mexico)

The suv landed right side up and we were the first on the scene to help them. We got the driver out but the passender was to messed up his hand was gone and neck was broke blood everywhere. We took off because we were running late to beaumont. I called later to tell the cops what we saw and he informed me the guy died. It freaked us out the whole night and for at least week afterwards.
