Alright, this just seems a little weird.... In the last week I have had 3 eggs that had double yolks. I had never seen this before my first one a week ago and then to see two more eggs like this just seems crazy. Anyone know the odds of twins in eggs?

Abnormalities
Some hens will lay double-yolked eggs as the result of unsynchronized production cycles, although heredity causes some hens to have a higher propensity to lay double-yolked eggs. Double-yolked eggs only rarely, and even then only with human intervention, lead to the successful development of two embryos [3].

It is also possible for a young hen to produce an egg with no yolk at all.

very odd.

Try THIS.

HAHHA, nice link jack ass ;)

It wasn't a "real" question so much, it was more rhetorical. Just showing how crazy of an experience I have had with eggs lately... but I did get a kick out of the hyperlink.... Chickens without yolks, that would make doing egg whites easier :)

Glad you enjoyed my link. lol.

Understood... yes, very Strange for sure!

haha.. that's what liquid egg whites are for in you local grocers freezer isle ;)

I buy like 10 cartons a week on average.

I hate eggs, the liquid egg whites are all I can stand...What I cant stand is watching people drink it right out of the carton though....*throws up a little in his mouth* lol

Cutting Diets suck for me because Im a VERY picky eater. So my diet is very bland and I hate eggs and pills, both of which I need alot of :-) But Horray for liquid eggwhite, no deformities :-D

At 8 whites per carton, it's expensive. I buy 5 dz eggs and seperate the yolks. If you have a dog, he'll love you forever if you scramble him up yolks.

Then why waste our time with serious responses? Say it's rhetorical at the start, you wasted two minutes of my life.
