Not that paying someone a $100 to go on a date isn't absurd, but at the same time how is this even remotely illegal and why must one obtain a liscense for it? This might be slightly less agitating if it weren't for the fact that it's perfectly legal for you to sit down and pay $10k for a $5 dollar plate of food at a political fundraiser. Wow.

or just more govt bullshit. The govt has reasonable right to take taxes on things made possible by their support. Taxing people on how they spend their own personal time is a major overreach. If two people get together and one says I'll pay you $100 to have dinner with me, as ridiculous as I think that is...that's between two people and the govt has no reasonable right to think they had any hand in facilitating that transaction. You use shit that the govt built and maintains, ok different story. Not this.

It may very well happen but not because it's inherently a bad idea for a baseline govt health care insurance. It's just a necessity of an inherently sick society. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. If they start doing things like requiring years physicals to be on Obamacare you're gonna start seeing people yapping about having to take care of themselves and eat at least halfway decently. They'll call it an overreach into our daily activities.
