Yoga

if you don't breathe through your nose you won't achieve relaxation... and even though i was doing ashtanga (which i'll likely go back to) and it was strenuous, the fact that i could maintain the breathing through my nose kept me relaxed. if you stop breathing through your nose you should stop until you can continue.

incidentally i read in yoga magazine about a yogi who went through a major surgery w/o anesthetic by utilising yoga techniques.

So are you supposed to breathe through your nose all the time (even when not doing yoga)?

I tried doing this today and gave up after about 2 hours, it just doesn't seem right.

Anyway, I'll probably try doing some yoga early every morning for a while to see if i like it.

lol i don't know... my assumption is just for the yoga.

you did yoga for two hours? the longest i've ever done was one hour.

what type of yoga are you doing?

lol..i dunno what yoga im doing (yoga for idiots?). I was just searching the web for proper breathing techniques and i came across that site.

I read somewhere that you should always breathe through your nose (makes sense..with all the filters in the nose), but i have always breathed mainly through my mouth, so i'm trying to correct it.
