Run a trace route from your system to boards.elitefitness.com, That will show the ping times to every system enroute to elite. If some of the systems at the beginning of the report show numbers significantly higher than those at the end of the report then the bottleneck is likely somewhere on your route to elite and not elite itself. You need to remember the internet is a bunch of interconnected systems and usually you go through a series of them before reaching your destination, if any one of them is slow your response times will be slow, not matter how fast your system is or the system you are connecting to.
And it likely has 6x as many users on at any given time as well. Hardware and bandwidth cost money, it blows my mind how many people come here and whine about a free service.
I have 300k cable modem...my computer is 512 RAM, 1.2 GHZ processor, with 80MB of memory (just thought I'd throw that in)...anyway, I occassionally have this problem. I think the sight has too much traffic at times and takes a while to process.

Once again, is it the site or some bottle neck between you and this site? Why dont you guys start posting trace routes with these complaints, because until you can show its this site, you dont even know if your complaining to the correct people.
