I had my PM turned on for a long time. First it got abused by people trying to "reason" with me (you ought to realize that most peeps' idea of reasoning is "But I WANT a cookie, Mommy! I WANT it!") and second I'm not in a position to check it often enough. At least, not as often as I think I should. If I turn on my PM, that's like getting someone's hopes up, and I don't want to do that unless I can follow through. If they're in a hurry, they need to talk to someone else. Simple as that.
