with all that you should get a chip in the 2.2ish mhz range..

buy right from dell and get exactly what you want.. if your not sure what you want tell us what you do and we can help customize it..

LOL. That sell now price is over 2x what that laptop should go for. I don't think anything on ebay is ever going to beat this 166mhz pentium laptop with a "huge" 2.5GB HD I saw sell on ebay for $500.

It will take 2-3 months from Dell, without the warranty. The guy will sell it for $2,000 flat, including shipping. I'd pay $2500.00 for it to be in front of me right now, configured to my WAN :) . Price ain't no thing but a chicken wing....

Now that's out of the way, since you seem to know a bit about this piece of hardware...........opinions???

lol chicken wing

then buy this one from discount tommy instead, the 1 gig more of memory would be more than worth what the small bump in price would be. otherwise the machine and the seller look solid

let us know what you pick

So if I am reading that correctly....that is the exact same machine with one more gig of memory??..?? I'll see what he will do on price....

Thanks bro.... :)

jeepers, I can't think of a worser way to throw money away. You can get viruses no matter kind of computer you buy. And viruses are sooo easily fixable.

next time you get a virus, just try to get rid of it with antivirus software, and if that dont work just do a format and reinstall. But no matter what kind of computer you will buy, you will always be vulnerable to viruses. That is, unless you buy a Mac.

Are you related to SoKlueless???? Lol....

The motherboard was fucked, I got my $2,000 use out of it in year, and when I beat the holy living hell out of it. It was very cathartic.

Pitbull if you have a desktop pc that you feel like breaking into a million pieces stop pm I swear mailing it to Toronto will make you feel just as good as breaking it. ;)

PS I FUCKIN HATE DELL I WILL NEVER BY A DELL

ha, no I'm not,
I'm just a very computer hardware oriented guy. I like to fix things if there is something wrong with them and save a buck.

At first I thought u were just pissed cuz u had a virus on it, and then u smashed it, lol. if the motherboard is toast, i can understand a little better though.
knowing me i woulda tried to fix it. but not everyone has that kinda patience or willingness for tedious tasks.

sometimes a sledge hammer can feel a lot better. I do that with really cheap computer things.

My mom is looking at a laptop, I recommend the Dell 600, I configured one but when I tried to apply that cupon Devastation it didn't work. No message nothing.

Also if you get a proc with 400MHz FSB speed, will the MB support 400MHz DDR memory? It comes with 266MHz memory but I would obviously upgrade.

Anyone? Bueller?
