Iggy from a scientific point of view, Smurfy is right... dreams don't have any meaning, however the question here is about meaning and not explanation or prediction.
It's kinda like trying to explain through science why you like a certain song... there may be an explanation on genetics and receptors for certain rhythms and pitch, but well you get what i'm saying.

Still I agree for the most part, most dreams don't mean anything... unless there is a repeated pattern and there is an emotional response of some sort. The theory is that repeated dreams are symbolic of repressed thoughts/emotions. I"m not getting into archetypes here, just the basic psychology, and usually the person can determine the meaning 100% better than any psychoanalyst... the analyst just asks the right questions and maps the overall direction.
You know your patterns, and for the most part what is stirring behind the curtain bro... keep asking the question.

MM understands jungian/transpersonal dream analysis more than I do, though..
