Yellow bowels

New member
OK, so I've been on Text Cyp for about 3 weeks @ 250 twice a week. I feel fine, no 'Test Flu' WTFTI, lethargy, DOMS, etc. I'm a little stiff, muscles and dick, but other than that it's all good. Except that I've been having yellow turds the last few days. I assume this could be a Liver issue, but I don't have any symptoms. I've been taking my Fish Oil and Vitamins, but haven't used the NAC or Milk Thistle yet. Also eating more Bananas, but not that many.

Any thoughts on this?

I changed the title to something more appropiate. I found this on yellow bowels

The Meaning of Yellow Bowel Movements
Yellow bowel movements can mean many things. Firstly, it can be an indication that stools are moving too fast along the digestive tract, not allowing sufficient time for the bacteria and bile to act on it. Secondly, it could mean that there’s a shortage of bile or obstruction of bile in your digestive tract. When it comes to newborn babies, their stools will always look yellowish and will be watery. This is due to breast feeding. When the baby switches on to bottle milk, the color will usually become brownish.
Should I Worry About Yellow Bowel Movements?
First of all, remember that yellow bowel movements can also be caused by diarrhea because the stools will move rapidly through your digestive tract allowing little time for normal routine. In this case, it will also be very watery. However, if your stools are normal in texture and composition, but yellow in color, it is a good idea to seek medical advice because you may either have a bacterial infection in the intestines or some liver functionality problem. It is also know that, people suffering from gastro-esophageal reflux disease usually pass yellow stools

LOL, (Sorry about the colourful title)

Thanks, yeah I have GERD but can't say I've had yellow turds often. I was diagnosed with low iron stores a while back (side effect of the GERD meds) so I was put on Iron pills, which I stopped taking a few days ago as the stores have been on the rise. I suspect this explains the colour change; I'll start taking the Iron for a while to confirm my suspicion.

You need to get to a Dr. I spoke to a Dr. today (having a gf who is upper management in an E.R is nice) He asked if you ever had GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). He said it sounds like a bile insufficient output. Bile breaks down food in your digestive system. Bile is released from the liver. If liver is not functioning properly this can be a result. The pancreas is also another area to look at. Sort of the same as liver and bile but just a different enzyme released by the pancreas that breaks down fat, protein and carbs. Go get lab works done a.s.a.p. I hope its nothing.

Thanks for the concern,

I saw the medical marvel today to get my Iron tested, so I know whether I should keep taking the supplements or not. He gives some other test and tells me it's for long term iron, but when I google it, it's a Diabetes test. So I Google some more and it says that Iron supps can increase the risk of Diabetes. Which he has told me to take for another three months without tetsing the levels. FTW?

I mentioned the Yellow stools of course and he said they were only a concern if white and not yellow. He did not order any Liver tests, although he mentioned Bile as a cause, but did request a stoop and scoop. I think I'll send in on of the cat's turds to see what they turn up.

Things are back to a normal colour fter resuming the Iron for a couple of days BTW, but I have no idea what the relationship is?
