I read a research paper recently that quoted several studies suggesting that synephrine is not effective for weight loss (I wish I could remember the source). I did find the following info on www.supplementwatch.com :
A recent study conducted in dogs suggests that synephrine and octopamine can increase metabolic rate in a specific type of fat tissue known as brown adipose tissue (BAT). This effect would be expected to increase fat loss in humans – except for one small details – adult humans don’t have brown adipose tissue.
As it stands now, citrus aurantium extract exists as one of the most over-hyped ingredients on the weight loss scene. There are some interesting theories on how it might work to increase metabolic rate and promote weight loss, but most are couched in pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo and none are backed by any credible scientific evidence of effectiveness in humans.
I have used both Xenadrine RFA-1 and Xendarine EFX. The RFA-1 (which has ephedra) was great. I was able to take off several pounds of fat. I did not notice any significant weight loss with the EFX.
If I was you, try Lean System 7 or a similar product that contains the 7-Keto form of DHEA. Also, many people on this board have been using Yohimbe-based products, but I have no experience with them.
does efx give you that alert ready feeling that the old ephedra products gave you. Im looking for something to give me a boost in the morning and for my workouts.
