thinkin about getting one for christmas..got a few ?'s. what are the best games and how do you play online? does it cost money? just a little more info,..etc

Halo simply rules all games.
Ralliposrt Chalenge is a great racing game.
Splintercell is supposed to be awsome.
Hitman2 is pretty cool.

I dont play sports games but the sega and EA hockeys are supposed to be awsome too.

To play online via Xbox Live u need broadband and maybe a router .. go to xbox.com.

You can play online for free though at XBConnect.com. Its not as reliable, as as lag-free as Live but ts damn good for free!

does it tie up the phone line? i have cable modem, is there anywhere to hook it up to that? im lookin foward to getting it for online play cause my computer sucks donkey balls.

When you buy the X-boxlive starter kit you get a key code which allows you acces for 1 year, which you must cancel if you dont want to continue or you will be paying whatever fee they determine and it will charge your credit card up for another year subscription...Right now I'm very pleased I'll be getting my GF's little girl setup with Xbox live so we can play against each other for Mech Assault.

I waited 2 years for Xbox to come out and now I'm a loyal customer and will stick with them till they are out of business
