XBox games not working on 360? Help!

I borrowed some of my boddy's old XBox games I really want to play and my 360 says that they won't work. Is there any easy way to download a patch or something like that? I just got Doom 3 and I really want to try it out.

Unfortunately, all games are not backward compatible. I found out when I purchased the 360 and 3/4 of my current games would not play on the 360. PS2 and PS3 games are the same... not all will play on the newer system.

Microsoft does release an emulator up date every so often. They continual to make more games compatible,

If you are connected to the internet you should be able to download the update which makes some, not all, original xbox games playable.

Visit xbox.com and follow links. They list which games are backwards compatible.

btw, you may have ot be a Live subscriber to download the update. In that case I think you can create a "Silver" account. This is free and allows you to download demos, updates, etc, but you cannot play people online and other stuff like you can with a Gold account.

Hope this helps.

oh, and OXM (Official xbox magazine) has the backwards compatible update on their disk each month. If you do not have internet you could always just buy the latest edition at the news stand.
