anyone out there take xanax? I did for the last 3 months and am having a withdrawl you would not believe!! It is the most physically addictive thing there is if you take it every day for more than, i don't know, a couple of months - be warned it is the worst comedown in the world, i've ordered more to stair step it down, the doc's gave me librium. not worth a crap, not stron enough to battle the tremors and high bp........

Xanax does indeed have some mild withdrawal symptoms. Hopefully your doctor recognizes this and has you come down off them gradually. Luckily this withdrawl is not life-threatening like that of phenobarbitals. Another thing people tell me is that their anxiety seems to rebound pretty hard after using xanax to help to control it in the first place.

Im on Klonopin now

Have used ativan too in the past. I have anxiety disease so was given ativan a long time ago before they really knew anything about the disease. Was on it 2 years until imipramine stopped my anxiety and depression result cold. Getting down of the ativan was not even something I remember. I never had more than 1 mg a day. Lots of rebound partying and drinking probably helped ween the benzo. Now Im back on a benzo, klonopin. It acts a llot longer and there isnt the crash from many other benzos. But I am
caught. Only 1/2 mg a day but still I need it. Not as worried about getting off cause of the low dose. But there will be anxiety and that God awful feeling. Well at least there wont be any surprises.
