Yes I agree. I think you need to explore every avenue of information but to NOT get a doc's opinion & go to people's opinions on the internet is not a reliable route by itself either. However w/ xanax it seems to me that the effects on something as important as thyroid should be rather well-known to a doc prescribing it. Particularly as it is also considered a common party drug and there is research on what these things do to people.
