xanthan gum can be found in health food stores
requires a blender or hi speed on mixer to activate
needs about 1/4 tsp per cup of liquid to thicken
but play with the ratio to get required thickness
good stuff xanthan gum

i think it 7 cals 2c but 2 fiber in 1/4 teaspoon. I use it in my shakes at night. you can find it at a health/nat. food store

Best place is health food stores, online I have found some but not good quality.

the xanthan gum i use says on the label that it's made out of something that's extracted from cabbage

it does have nutritional info it's something like 3g of carbs per tea spoon

I thought Xantham gum is only fiber. if it's also other carbs, no good for me, because i'm on the PB diet and I want to avoid carbs as much as possible.

In my particular case:

EVERY 2 hour (that comes to about 8 meals)

20g of ALPB
20g of Met-RX CarbFX protein

20.5g Protein
11.3g Fat
5.4g Carbs (of which 1.4g fiber)
200cals

On workout days I would drink post workout a Pure Protein drink
which contains 47g of Whey Isolate (about 190 cals) instead
of the PB usual meal.

1-2 hours after the post workout protein only drink,
I would eat my usual PB meal or I may replace it
with a Pancake I make soley of Whey protein, Cinammon and
Egg whites, (NO carbs), I coat it with about 15g of Peanut butter
and may add a bit of non-fat, no-sugar icecream(about 30cals)
This keeps me sane and has almost the same nutritional value
as the PB meal.

thnx bro...karma to you....what's in carbfx? Just protein? Also 20g of pb...is what? 2 tablespoons? What are your stats and what about all the key vitamins in veggies? Dont you get tired of pb??????????????? Must make grocery shopping easy!

Found some....expensive shit, but I guess a little goes a long way.......it's all fiber! 20g of carbs 20g of fiber per tsp.......or tbs.....what do you guys use it for? Daily?

Hey Kurz, lucky you, I didn't find it in any stores in my country, they though I just landed from Mars. I also tried to search Guar Gum and was unlucky as well. Guess I'll just try and use Psyllium. I wonder if mixing the fiber and making it absorb water outside the body, doesn't negate it's effectiveness a bit though.. But please dude update me if it's effective. I'll still try and find that Xantham gum..

Good question.. I am really interested as well in making my own protein bars. without lactitol, maltitol and all that hidden carb shit.

I use it in my shakes at night i dont think it will work in a shaker. I have always used it in a blender. Put the protien ice and water in blend then add in 1 teaspoon and blend.
I use vanillia carmel protien w/ 1 tablespoon davinci sf peanut butter syrup and 1 tablespoon anpb i look foward to it every night

almost like my recipe.....I switch with all different kinds of davinchi sf syrup......its incred!,,,,,,then I add some real peanuts.....makes a thick shake crunchy!
