"X" ????????? Tell me your tells!!!

it is true it does put holes in your brain......a girl I know had gotten a CAT scan due to a little head injury she had and the doctors told her she had some brain matter missing aka holes in the brain....they gave her all these pamphlets on drug use and abuse and told her to stay away from drugs such as Ecstacy, coke, heroin etc... It's a crazy drug so be careful with it....nobody thinks it's bad for them because it's an oral drug...just be careful and enjoy the ride.....your first time is the best.....and if you can get your hands on a valium for when you want to go to bed......take a half of that and lights out......

sides...

side effects i personally have experienced:

just a little background - i used ecstasy for on and off for 4 1/2 years. never took it more than 2 days in one week. at the heaviest stage i would take 2 - 2 1/2 pills in one night, once a week. this was for about 4 months. compared to many people that i know, my use was low to average. combined it with shrooms twice, but never combined it with any other drug except for pot a few times. don't/didn't use any other drugs or alchohol during this time period.

sides:

loss of short term memory (wonder if i will ever get it back), drawing a blank when asked a question that requires thought, forgetting simple words that i should remember (like it's on the tip of my tongue, but i can't remember it), depression, severe social withdrawl.

and i'm not some dumb ass either. i've always been (or always was) a very intelligent person who excelled in school and academics. i was a very socially outgoing person, but since my use i'd rather avoid people than be social.

i'm not trying to scare you out of trying it in anyway...just giving you a personal account of the downsides i have experienced. everyone is different and i know people who have used much more than me and seem fine.

diesel 5

it sounds like we both have the same background. started in 96 and i stopped last august. i would average 3-4 in a night, 2 times per month.

i'm experiencing the EXACT same side effects. I used to be quite very social and was always a scholar. now i think i feel like i have mild depresssion/social anxiety disorder/add and i firmly belive it is a result of my past useage.

i've tried just just about everything and i swear E has the worst long-term side effects.

there's a concensus that it is a fairly harmless drug and its use exploded in the past few years: 5-10 years from now we will be known as generation e-tard.

this is coming from someone who always believed drug side-effects were bullshit and overhyped.

i'm praying that my serontonin receptors/producers will eventually return to a somewhat normal state.

experimenting with it every once in a while won't do too much damage but i would advise against making it a staple of your party favors.

womb raider,

yeah, it sucks!! as soon as i get some $$$ i'm going to go to a psychiatrist or doctor, tell them about my usage and the change i've seen and ask them what they think. they'll probably try to put my ass on anti-depressents for the rest of my life. that would definitely blow!!

me too diesel- think i'm going to schedule an appointment this week.

I believe depressed people have lower levels of seratonin in their brain and taking an SSRI anti-depressents will increase their seratonin levels --> happy happy joy joy.

You shouldn't worry about being on them for the rest of your life. I think only really severely depressed individuals need to do that.

Most people who experience normal depression are put on an SSRI for 6 months to kind of kickstart your brain into producing normal serontonin levels again. I don't wan't to be dependent on something like this either.

I've been giving this alot of thought and think an SSRI like paxil or zoloft would be good. I don't think anti-anxiety (benzos) like valium or xanax would do much good in the long run...they will just kind of zonk you out temporarily.

Keep me updated on what happens.

Take care bro

I could tell you plenty of stories about X. But if I started now, it would take all night. What I will say is that I had plenty of fun times and plenty of times I wish I that made me wish I would have never tried it. Be carefull, the law watches that shit bigtime!

I'm assuming you are talking about that MTV special that everyone so quickly cites. If you had listened to it, you would have noted those were not holes in the brain, but areas lacking bloodflow and activity which resemembled holes on the graph. And she was also a fairly heavy polydrug user.
