X-Men 2 was fucking awesome

Good Fight Scene: Wolverine taking out the troops attacking the school.

Bad Fight Scene: Wolverine and DeathStrike...*yawn*

Agreed. Not that bad, but definately not quite what I expected.

What is with Hollywoods recent fixation with having "females" that beat up "males". I seen Arnold get beat up by a skinny chick in one of his latest movies!

Great movie though.....XMen II

We saw the movie tonight and while it has a lot of eye candy the plot was very thin, good for the teenie audience. The movie lacked realism, kina like the old A-team episodes.

Realism in an Xmen movie is like realism in a Superman movie. As for the lack of blood, I'm sure that was to help attain the PG-13 rating. Blood is awfully easy.....all of the worst movies are loaded with it.

Loved the movie, but being a hadcore "ex" comic junkie, I was upset about a few manipulations of the story.

1. the chronology of the characters. Ice Man was an original member.

2. Colossus should have been a larger character in 2. He was a favorite of mine.

3. Siren's, like her brother Banshee's, scream is not merely a piercing yell, but a concussive force. The agent would not have been able to shoot her.

4. Ice man better be able to coat his body in ice in #3. I thought this was a cool concept in the comics.

A question: does anyone know if Stryker's son was the mutant, Morpheus, from the original series?

The Sentinals or the Brood would be a cool nemesis in number 3.

this one had many moments that made my eyes water out of giddiness. Including Wolverine letting loose.. oh man.. that was great. and Magnito's escape.. that was the 2nd best scene in the movie, right after the first scene with Nightcrawler.

I saw it the other night.. i thought it was really good... i think the one scene that gave me that chill down my spine sensation is when Pyro says to the cop "you know how they say mutants are dangerous(or however he put it)... well im the most dangerous of them all" and he fuckin lit those mother fuckers up like a wild fire... total rush right there. Its going to be hard to beat Magnito in X3 with Pryo on his side... I predict Pyro and Iceman are going to have a fight scene.

oh and Rogue is fucking HOT!

Oh just FYI I dont read the comics so i have no idea how the story line goes. Even though I have tons of xmen and all the xforce comic books(what happned to that comic) ever made, I dont read them lol.

Would love to see Cable from xforce in an xmen movie that dude is sick!!

X1 was the better movie. More emotion, more heart. Even with having to wade through the origins of the characters, they still showed great bonding between Wolverine and Rogue (but didn't expand on it)... the sparring between W and Cyclops.. and there was a little more focus on the Professor.
This time the only good characters were Pyro, Mystique and maybe Nightcrawler because he had so much screen time. Even Magneto was better in the first when he hit the train station. Contrast Pyro's screen time with Iceman's. He's not on long, never mentions his family, but we can see he's uncomfortable with the Academy and envies Bobby his family. In contrast, Iceman's just flat.

Overall they expected that you'd seen X1 but didn't build on it enough. Even the opening CGI sequence was a poor rehash of the first one.

BTW Jubilee only had 2 words in the movie, she was one of the 6 kids kidnapped... Gambit (Remy LeBoeuf) was the name above Magneto's (Eric Lenscher) when Mystique was searching the computer files, he didn't appear in the movie. Hank McCoy (Beast) was the scientist interviewed on TV.
