X and brain damage.

HEy dudes.....

I just wrote this post yesterday as a response to someones enquiry about X and brain damage, but not sure it will get the attention it deserves......


This post isnt made to make u feel bad or guilty about taking e, just the facts so u can make an informed decision about using x.

Your brain is composed primarily of two types of cells. Neurons and glial cells. Neurons are responsible for "thinking", glial cells act as support cells for neuronal cells.

Neurons transfer information by relaying bioelectric signals to other neurons. Neurons are not physically connected, rather they are seperated by synapatic gaps. WHen a neuron is triggered, it propagates a biolelectrical signal down its cell body. At the end, or the "axon terminal", the neuron releases a neurotransmitter into the snyaptic gap....or the space seperating one neuron from another......the neurotransmitter acts to signal the post snyaptic neuron to intiate a new bioelectric signal to propegate the bioelectric signal or "information"

X works by:
1) increasing production of the neurotransmitter serotonin within the neuron
2) increasing the release of serotonin
3) prevents the reuptake of serotonin in the snyaptic gap

Y is X bad?

Ecstasy works similary to antidepressents (SSRI and MAOI class) but magnified by about 100 fold.

Essientially, E turns on the serontonin taps, and floods the snyaptic gap with serotonin. This flood of serontonin acts to "burn" the receptor cells on post-synaptic neurons, or neurons that are "downstream" of the serotonin releasing neuron ........Once the post synaptic neuronal receptors are damaged , they no longer have the ability to receive neurotransmitter signals from other neurons........

In order for a neuron to survive, it needs to recieve input signals from presynaptic cells. Once, the neuron stops receiving input from presynaptic cells due to neuronal receptor degradation, it dies.

A person is born with as many neurons as they will ever have. Neurons in the brain and spinal cord do no regenerate themselves when damaged, which incidently explains why there is no cure for paralysis due to damage of the spinal cord. ......anyhow, the point being, once you kill a brain neuron, it doesnt grow back.

E works primarily on serotongenic neurons. The hippocampus, a brain structure that has been implicated with *learning* and *memory*, has been associated with neuronal degradation when exposed to E (because the hippocampus is innervated with a high percentage of serotongenic neurons, or neurons that primarly use serotonin as a neurotransmitter) ...... when hippocampal neuronal cells die, the cognitive functionality (learning and memory) of the hippocampus is reduced, which explains why u feel "stupid" after an E binge...

The good news is that every human brain exhibits some degree of neuronal plasticity. This means that existing neurons can compensate by carrying additional information dead or damaged neurons no longer transmit. HOWEVER, this plasticity can never compensate fully for the irreperable neuronal death caused by E. Neuronal plasticity will only slow the damage caused by X

I want to add here that as far as neuroscience is concerned, thinking and consciousness is a direct result of the complex biological structure of the brain. The basis for all information processing and delivery is the neuron. Without correct neuronal archetecture, a person ceases to think "normally" or ceases to think at all.

If you want to take it, mabey once a year, or once every 6 months. Dont dose more than 1-2 hits a night. MDMA and MDA and the whole methlyene-dioxy-meth- family is neurotoxic. The more u take in one sitting , the more neurotoxic it is, therefore the more neuronal damage youll cause. X is a very potent neurotoxin.

This is just an overview of how Ecstasy works and how it causes brain damage. If you have any questions, i can go into detail. I reviewed all of the experiments using X on animals, and have a decent understanding of brain structure and mechanisms and expermental methodology.
