Im pretty close to saying screw this and going with the needsize bulking program.. LOL... how do some of you big guys do it??? 6'1 220lbs and I cant move the scale without moving my belt loop...... Is there a point of no return????

yes,,,very possible. done MANY times myself.

You must seriously put down some chow bro... I seem like I walk around with a chicken breast or turkey wrap in my mouth... Maybe if I had another 10 hours in the day I'd find more time to throw back some calories...

yeah just need to know how to diet ;). I doubt I've EVER been above 10% bodyfat, well ever since my babyfat has gone away.

Staying lean and gaining size are not meant to be done together-for most guys anyways. Once you're happy with your size(like that will ever happen? lol), you can cut up, and try to put lean muscle on only. That way you'll still feel like you look OK while trying to gain size. Plan on having 3-5 yrs in the gym before you get to this point. Until then, train hard and heavy and put away a lot of chow and don't cut back until you start getting too fat. Doughnuts by the dozen washed down with a half gallon of milk every night worked wonders. (after I met my good caloric requirements for the day)

This is the reason a lot of guys don't compete. Once you start dieting you lose some strength and size and even though you lose weight, you still aren't ripped. This is when most guys say fuck it. It's when you go beyond this point of initial weight loss, and forget about the usual poundages you do on exercises for a few weeks that the lines/cuts start to show. Once you get there feeling wimpy is much easier to deal with since now you're looking more bodybuilder-like. Remember, chicks couldn't care less how much you bench, but ripped abs will definitely increase your chances of getting some tuna.

Im weighing in at 228, and at 8.9%! Going to get a more accurate reading at the end of this month when I finish school! It is possible and not uncommon..

Thanks guys..
I can only imagine how frustrating it is and all the mind games u play with yourself when you're competing....

I could really give a shit about the poon at this point.. Im soo tired of chicks thinking I look more like a fitness model than a bodybuilder.. Im in there doing rackpulls with 495 for triples, smith machine presses with 405, back squats with 315 for reps and I dont seem to look much different than the doucebags doing 21's..

I think its a good idea to get my caloric intake for the day and then eat a pizza before bed for desert... I dont know if I can do it this summer, strictly due to the heat, but when the mild weather comes and the humidity drops.. this guido is going to pack on some pounds..

Give it some time your only 23. LOL

It's all in your diet and training. Raising doseages can help.
You have to eat enough for positive nitrogen retention but not so much you get fat. That's why Sesapure/Glucorell is so popular. You can eat more and not get as fat. I think you've probably got a carb issue too. You might want to try not eating any carbs before lunch or after dinner for a while.

It sucks. Trust me I know. I'm a man of many different bodies. There's been times in my life where I don't see someone for 6 months and I've lost so much fat they don't recognize me. The change is so drastic some people think I'm my younger brother because there's no way I could be the same person. I believe getting fat is a necessary evil at your age. After all, how will you ever know if you're getting enough calories if you never gain weight? You might think you're eating enough, but who's to say that you don't require more if you never put on excess weight. However I don't think you should go crazy. Slow down on the chow just before your abs completely disappear. Anything more is too much.

I agree with Ulter, it can be done. I am currently around 230lbs(5'8"), and no more than 10% bf...all it took was some attention to diet. This time, instead of eating like it was going out of style, I just pay some attention to details, I still even eat fast food, several times this week in fact, but I try and balance it out

damn, paesano! you're definitely not the "average" guy in Italy... most guys there are around that bf but half the poundage.... good work!

Could not be more true. Just watch where you are fishing. Every once in awhile a whale starts lurking around scaring all the little tuna's away. I'm changing fishing holes this week and am setting the hook now with adex.
