WTF is wrong with me?

Started HRT 5 weeks ago, 200mg T-Cypionate front load and 100mg per week for last 4 weeks. Also started H.C.G this week, 250IU twice/week.

Before HRT:

Total testosterone: 147
E2: 21

5 weeks in:

Total testosterone: 388
E2: 33

I did have the lab 5 days after my injection, but I am still surprised how low I am. I'm going through a clinic but am still under my DR's care, I asked her opinion on bumping to 150 or 200mg/week and she approves (like my endo she doesn't really have much experience with it). I am concerned about my estradiol creeping up though, and would rather not have to include an aromatose inhibitor in my HRT unless I have to. Any opinions?

What kind of bloat could I expect at 200mg/week?

In general a mg of T will increase total T by around 4 mgs, so it's odd that you're still that low. Your e isn't so high that it should affect it but you'll need to get it down closer to 10. 1/4mg of adexx EOD and a daily dose of POST CYCLE ought to do it.

Is POST CYCLE mild enough to only bring the E2 levels down to a reasonable level? 10 like you say?

What are the implications of taking POST CYCLE every day, as I would be on it for indefinitely.

Nelson....(this question is also for Eric at Pp):

I've noticed that you guys have mentioned several times that e should be as low as 10-20... whereas the normal range standard for healthy men in their 20's and 30's is around 30-40 I think....and yah, I understand that those of us serious about training & nutrition shouldn't exactly subscribe to what's considered "normal" for the general population.

Are you basing your opinion on any scientific or medical research? I fully understand the importance of keeping estrogen down, but I also know that having *some* estrogen is important as well.

So just curious how you came up with those numbers.

Had a friend do the same thing when he started. Started with 100mgs a week and It didnt raise his much. went to 200 EW and it went to over 900. It may take you several months to get everthing in line. I started with 200 EOW and couldnt deal with it. I am at 150 EW and all is good.

Thanks for sharing that. I think I will bump to 150mg/week, continue the HCG, and get tested again in 6 weeks before I consider another bump or adding in an AI.

Dr Swale has written that some men need 200mg/wk of testosterone enanthate to get their free testosterone into a normal range. It's just a highly individual response.

He also stated that he could not draw a correlation between testostene demand and body mass or previous steroid use.

Bump. Good question.
