Re: here's a new headline from cnn.. maybe that's got somthng to do with them..

Arms-control advocates told the Times that the development of smaller nuclear weapons may signal that the Bush administration is leaning toward overlooking a long-standing policy against the use of nuclear weapons except as a last resort.

ofcourse arms control advocates are gonna say this. they'll say anything to advance thier philosophy.

If u want to go more indepth its possible. What ud have to do is reveiw all declassified or leaked historical NPC documents and determine US - Sino nuclear deployment strategy. All current evidence strongly suggests it was nonexistent prior to the Bush administration.

so what exactly does the NPR do, just review the admin's strategic policy and write a report to congress.

who makes up the NPR?

and lastly, i havent seen anything here that makes me want to build a bunker in my basement just yet.

This is revenge on some dudes who just dont happen to speak english.
Osam is alive, omar embarassed us army by escaping on a motorcycle.

Real purpotraitors are alive... Only the mostly innocent people have died.

And now Dubiya wants to use nukes.

WHY?

I agree, why don't we finish one thing, first. I'm amazed at how American people don't really pay attention to what's really going on. The Bush administration keeps hyping up war, war, war, against everybody.

Be realistic, we can't fight terrorism, Iraq, North Korea, China, all at once, nor will we be able to fight these wars in succession. It would bankrupt the country, plus, nobody wants to see body bags stack up. You fight that many different wars.....ALONE, you'll see huge numbers of military bodybags. He can justify the war on terrorism, but a sustained war against other countries isn't going to work. None of these countries are intimidated by his "tough talk".

Iraq, North Korea, China, may not want to start it, but I believe they will retaliate with whatever, however, and whereever they can. What would they have to lose? Something will eventually get in, and it will be devastating. And stupid.

I listened to a soldier from Afghanistan, comment on how much of a disadvantage they were at on the ground against Al-Quaeda last week. We would definitely have more bodybags right now, if not for the Afghan rebels, any idiot could see that. And still no Osama, or Omar, for all the bombs we've dropped.

Now, because we couldn't get him, couldn't pay 25 million, and couldn't fight him ourselves, we should now say, oh, "Osama isn't a big deal now", and go do something different? come on.......it wasn't 24 hrs (Sept 11th) before Bush was fingering Osama......NOW it's not a big deal to get him?

Bush seems to have nice entrance ideas, but no real plan, or followup plan, just hop to something else.......keep the public focused on this, to downplay his ineptness at domestic policy.

heh. no ones saying u should.

the NPR is a strategic nuclear warfare manual created anew by the Department of Defense under each respective Presidential administration.

The NPR reflects the current administrations philiosphy towards the deployment of nuclear weapons and the situations which would necessiate such deployment.

For the past 20 years, every administration has reserved the use of nuclear weapons for deterent purposes only and doomsday scenerios. Bushs first strike policy heralds a monumental change in historical US nuclear deployment policy.

How can an esclation in violence be good for anyone? It will only provocate other countries to respond in kind. Violence breeds violence. If you step up the level of violence, which bush intends to do, it only be met with increased hostility by the reciepents.

proof? Isreali - Palastinine conflict. The palistinines arnt backing down despite punishing Isreali retalitory attacks which have led to over 700 palastinine deaths. In fact, if you watch the news, the palistinine suicide bombers have only be stepping up their attacks against Jewish targets. Sharons "Get tough" policy with the arabs, akin to Bushs "get tough" policy with rouge nations, has only bred more contempt, hatred, and spurred more terrorist attacks then ever before.

Contrary to popular beleifs, Americas problems cant be crushed. Itll only create more anti US american sentiment abroad, and more terrorists will permeate through US borders and bomb the shit out of American citizens. Bush is forgetting what kind of enemies he's dealing with. For all americas military might, this enemy cant be defeated, because the enemy isnt a country with clearly defined borders and a tangible infastructure. Its an ideology. An offshoot of Islamic faith, which promotes the destruction of America for its historically murderous and corrupt role in overthrowing democratically elected officials in Muslim countries, and supporting corrupt ones in others.

If Bush goes nuclear against IRaq and possibly China, the chinese, and perhaps the russians, will have no problems whatsoever in diverting nuclear and WMD secrets to terrorist organizations to balance world power.

Im with u in spirit dude!! :)

I'd have to agree with that last post.

That arms company Carlyle, they stand to benefit the most from the defense bill as it goes now, which Bush's father, and other high profile individuals from around the own stock in. It's got a lot to do with money. Taking care of friends. Like, fuck the military, the public, let's just get what we can now. No matter what the end result.

Money and stupidity are issues here also buddy28.

oh , for sure. Enron scandel? shit. Guess who was Bushs highest presidential campaign contributor - --- Enron via Bill Lay.

Bushs new energy policy coupled with Americas withdrawl from the Kyoto Accord, benefits domestic petroluem extraction and refining firms heavily. Not that reducing domestic dependance on foreign energy imports is bad, but guess who stands to win from bushs new energy policy? And guess which industries Bushs cabinet are heavily invested in??

Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeild all wrote over 4,000,000 USD annual income last year from personal holdings in US oil firms.

and to think the BUsh administration turned a blind eye to Enrons creative accounting??? Of course not!

its a fucked up world when the leaders of the worlds most powerfull country opt out for personal wealth, rather then promoting global prosperity.
