Actress ends four month marriage

Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper have called it quits after just four months of marriage. Esposito filed for divorce Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the motivation for the split.

The actress is seeking spousal support, while asking the court to deny Cooper the same. She also requested that her estranged husband pony up the dough for her legal fees. Cooper's publicist called the breakup "mutual" and clarified that the couple have "been separated for quite a while."

On the professional side, Cooper currently has several films in the pipeline, including the upcoming horror movie Code 39 opposite Renée Zellweger. Meanwhile, Esposito recently signed on to star with Christina Applegate in the pilot episode Sam I Am, a new ABC comedy series in development for the 2007-08 season.

Unless he did something heinous I hope she rots from the inside out.

OKAY before you all get all excited, lawyers put that stuff in to pleadings all the time not expecting or even wishing to get it. It is just legal wranglings and leverage. You ask for more than you want so that negotiation goes down from there.

Secondly, when the article states that the breakup was mutual, why does everyone want the woman to die, etc? Who cares if they want to break up?

I don't want her to die because the breakup was mutual, I couldn't care less about that, I don't think anyone should get married to start with. What I don't understand is how she sleeps at night requesting spousal support, asking he's denied the same, and for him to pay her legal fees... FOR FOUR MONTHS OF MARRIAGE! For those reasons she should DIE!

I just told you, it is standard practice to ask for those things unless the couple can sit down and hash out the terms before the pleadings are filed. In short, the lawyer put it in. She probably wants a mutual walk away, but you have to ask for more than you want. It's the same in the business world when negotiating contracts.

Then she needs to die!

Yes, I just assumed the lawyer is a female.

How Ironic.

I have no idea who these people are btw (except Zellweger and Applegate).

LOL...take away the lawyers from this God forsaken country and we would all kill each other by nightfall.

Wait.. I was married 10 weeks before the divorce started.

My wife wanted me to pay her attorney's fees. And she let the 'Maintenance Slide' but tried to make up for it by attempting to FUCK ME HARD for child support.
