wtf did I just do?

I was pulling the needle out of my leg and when the needle came out blood shot up about 5 or 6 inches. It stopped real quick but freaked me out. Yes, I did aspirate and no this isn't my first injection ANyhow, has this happened to anyone before? BTW, it was a thigh shot.

It can happen, actually the only time it happened to me WAS a glute shot. Never had the quad do it, but with time...

while you were withdrawing the syringe, the beveled edge of the needle just happened to be both inside a vein and outside your leg creating a direct path for the blood to get to the outside world.

but it happened while withdrawing and after the gear was delivered safely into muscle tissue - not in a vein
