WTF AIM problems

it says my buddy list and buddy icon are not currently availible. i can't send IMs or even see my buddy list. yet i logged into my gf's XP profile and her AIM is working without a problem. WTF?! anyone else have these problems?

i had a system crash due to a power blink, and since i got back up again it hasn't worked at all.

AIM just came out with a update. Might have something to do with it.

i had to confirm that i was an AIM user. that was f'ed up because i've had the same AIM name for a year and a half now. it was just a reminder why i dropped AOL and went to cable. guess every now and then AOL decides to remind me why i made that decision.
