WTC Pic...Real Or Fake?

here's what the email said;

Just seconds to eternity.

This was from a camera found in the wreckage of the WTC, developed by the FBI for evidence and released on the net today....the guy still has no nameand is missing ....

That pic would be SO awesome if it were real. But I seriously doubt a camera could survive that fall without the film being burst open and ripped or crushed. But hey, anything is possible.

Not to mention, where are/were you going to stand outside at the WTC? It's not like it had balconies. If he was on the roof, then the plane would be coming in much too high -- the planes hit at the 60th and 80th floors.

yep fake as hell. Just think. No film in anyone's standard camera would survive that. Second, yes no balconies, anywhere on that building.

Now, I've only been to New York twice, but weren't the towers on the water, with the city behind them? If this was real wouldn't the plane be coming in from a different angle? it was a hot beautiful day, what's he doing in a heavy coat and hat? I guess it's possible it's cold up there, 110 stories, but if he just went up to take pics I doubt he'd get all dressed up like that... And besides, if this guy was a tourist, like he seems to be, what was he doing taking pictures from the top of the trade centre? I thought it was a really tightly secured building, I doubt they let people in to take pictures like this... Wouldn't this more likely be the empire state building? I've never been up there, so I don't know what it looks like from the top.

Considering that the heat was great enough to melt the steel in the building I don't think a plastic camera would survive. The film definately wouldn't

Claim: A photograph captured an unlucky tourist posing on the observation deck of a World Trade Center tower seconds before a hijacked airliner smashed into the building.
Status: False.

Example: [Collected on the Internet, 2001]

We've seen thousands of pictures concerning the attack. However, this one will make you cringe.
A simple tourist getting himself photographed on the top of the WTC just seconds before the tragedy . . . the camera was found in the rubble!!

Origins: A grim sense of humor and digital photo manipulation skills can produce some interesting results these days:

This picture is suspect beyond credibility because September 11 was warm and sunny, not the type of day on which a tourist would have been decked out in a winter coat and hat. As well, the airliner in this picture is approaching from the north and would therefore have been the one which hit the north tower of the World Trade Center, but the north tower did not have an outdoor observation deck -- the south tower included an indoor observation deck on the 107th floor and an outdoor deck above the 110th floor, but the north tower housed Windows on the World, an indoor restaurant with a magnificent view of the city. In any case, the operating hours in September for the World Trade Center observatories were 9:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M., meaning they opened too late for a tourist to have been present on one before the first plane hit at 8:49 A.M.

Other points to ponder include whether a camera would have survived the crash, fire, and fall intact, and whether the airplane depicted shouldn't appear larger and blurrier. (The shadows in the picture also seem to indicate a sun in the southeast, but the reflections on the plane look as though they were made by a sun in the southwest.)

You're right about the coat and hat. Sept 11 turned out to be a beautiful day, weather wise.

Actually, you can see the Empire State Building in the background. The picture is taken with a northern view, the dude is facing south, so the plane would be the first one to hit.

It probably is taken at the top to the wtc, but the plan is of course photoshopped in.

Also the WTC towers were not parallel in a north-south fashion, but more cascading, so this could then be the south tower with an outdoor deck, with the north tower to the right out of the photo.

Fake as hell! Who would stand there holding a camera while stairing down a 767! Also, I think the guy in the picture would turn around when he heard the tremendous roar of jet engines.

It’s real. The guy is standing on the top of building, you can see the plane, and to top it off it’s dated Sept. 11th. Wow! What more proof do you need?!?! :lmao:

yea its fake...but just think about the people on the floors where the planes hit. Man, you're just sitting at your desk looking out the window, enjoying the view....then OH SHIT!!!!
