Wrist/forearm/elbow pain

This sucks. I am 7 weeks or so into mycycle and no w this. My wrist hurts really bad when doing curls or back excercises. Forearm hurts anytime I do anything with my hand. Even just clicking a mouse hurts. And elbow hurts when I extend it. basically all I can do is legs. I was considering taking a week or 2 off.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, I probably should. Just started a few days ago too. The elbow isn't tennis elbow it's more like I hyper extended it.

Ice it repeatedly and use some mild anti-inflamitories. I would rest on all ext movements and all curl movements. Also Wrist wraps might help, but consult a physician whether Chiro or Ortho

Definitely cut out curls. This eliminates the problem for most people after a few weeks. Then add them back in with light weights. For me, I can't do preacher seat curls or this comes back.

Just got back from the doc. he said it was a form of tendonitis and to lay off it for 7-10 days and ice it 3 times a day. He also gave me Relefan(sp) an anti inflamatory and told me to get a fore arm band to relieve the strain. Fucking sucks I tell ya. I am typing and using the mouse with my left hand till it's better. I guess this means no jerking it either:(. I think I skip arms for a while too.

Fuck me! Right in the middle of my cycle too.

Physicians do not know shit about musculo-skeletal pain. The only words in their vocabulary are ice and drugs. And orthopedists will misdiagnose problems often. I've talked to guys that have gotten knee or shoulder surgery when trigger point therapy or active release could have solved their problem. And the surgery often only temporarily relieves the problem--it will come back because the true cause was never remedied. Most orthopedic specialists seem to only be interested in their bank accounts.

Get the book on Trigger point therapy by Clair Davies. If you can't make any progress on this by yourself, go see an ART practitioner.

Hardrock- no ofeense but a lot of the time people get tendenosis of the elbow/tendons becasue on cuycle the muscles heal and get sytronger at a faster rate than the tendons and ligaments. You being on cycle and increasing poundages in heavy sheering movements maybe part of the cause. I would recommend to avoid sheering movements, barbell curls, skullsect... the pain will go away withing a few days but slowly and I mean Slowly get back into it

First workout since. Did bench presses, shoulder presses and tri pressdowns. Wore my arm band the whole time. Didn't bother me too much, but now my left is starting to hurt a little more. I've obviously been subbing it for my right whenever possible. I can tell it will be a while before I can do any pulling movements again.

Think I'll lose much back, trap, or bi mass from not working them? Even though I'm still on cycle?
