That is an amazing video...
I bet that lion is alot more cooler and has more depth than some of the people you have encountered blue...

I couldn't even watch it. People here and I don't like to start crying at the computer. I LOVE cats but I am seriously allergic. It makes me sad. I had to give my cat away a few years ago.

Nef, the video is awesome and don't let the hate take that away

I watched the video again this morning and teared up again. I had my 75 yr old Dad watch it yesterday and he teared up.

The music does make it more dramatic

Its a wonderful tuesday for all of us, and I'm not the voice of reason, just an eccentric one trying to obtain moderation... both parties have differential opinions on the validity of taking an animal's life... I see both sides of the argument... what I don't see is both of igniting the sensations with which will only develop into the perceptions that the other is attacking us and our whole rep or story is at stake over issues that really have no bearing on our daily lives... yes there seems to be a fundamental disagreement concering animal life, but we all agree another battle that involves nocuous personal shit should be avoided so we can enjoy this tuesday, I'm not above drama but just for today lets trade the pistols in for some grain, or ateast a convo that doesn't lead to more storms.

Domesticating wild animals does not remove all their animal behavior and wild instincts. You can have a happy cat for years and suddenly for reasons only the cat knows, they can turn. Domesticating doesn't gurantee you get a safe pet, it just slightly improves the odds in your favor that they *might not* attack you.

When I read the story it said that christian was actually there, outside the camp, waiting the night before they arrived. One of the people at the camp ahd some theory about lions having some sort of sixth sense and felt like this proved it...and when the two guys arrived, he was like, "Christian is waiting for you just outside the camp." Or something to that effect....bizarre, but incredible. i love big cats.

That was awesome! I don't know where some of these supposed experts got the idea that a kitteh (even a BIG one) wouldn't recognize his own mom and dad. They obviously never had pets. Animals do not forget their owners or one another. They can carry love, and grudges, with them for years.

What these people did was amazing. They rescued him, got him healthy and in shape, and when the time was right they unselfishly reintroduced him to the wild. Just a remarkable story from beginning to end. We need to hear more stories like these. :heart:

this can be true of any living thing with a brain though

I know some people who are kosher then turned on others.

Life = risk

Animals are no different than humans, cept our egos have buried us into hatred and war.
This was a great story and proves that there are some amazing people on this planet
