Wow, the Contender sucks ass

I tried to watch it tonight. Man, they aren't so worried about the fighting, but all about the man behind the gloves. The end of it was painfully boring. These two get in the ring, and the whole time the camera is showing the crowd and family. And when there is a brief moment of what's happening in the ring, it's slow motion. The Ultimate Fighter is 10x better.

I knew it would be horrible, there really isnt a show to be had with that.

Boxing is just about the action, who cares about how they had to fight their way off the streets and this is their big break. They had to fight b/c they were morons growing up and who cares about their lives.

The espn show was horrible too, the next great champ or something. Three rounds that are edited, man it was awful and it was like they were fighting in slowmo. Half of them were exhausted midway through the second round WTF?

it was a little more hyped up and played out like a movie,but what they did show of their training and the fight,they have skill.

hell that one guy who fought was 3rd in the world so there has to be some skill there

it just frustrates me to see guys with so little skill/experience getting a pro shot,when there are much better amatuers out there who are more deserving and wont bitch when offered a chance of a life time.

the guys on that show arent very skilled,from all the fights so far a decent street fighter would have knocked either fighter out.

last night josh beat himself,he wasnt confident nor very skilled, diego is one of the better skilled guys I will give him that,but when he fights guys like rafferty it isnt saying much

I know nothing about MMA except watching so I can't speak to skill levels or technique. And, Rafferty did look scared going in to that fight, but, he wanted Diego instead of his little buddy. And, whether or not Diego was more skilled he did what he was supposed to. Absolutely pounded him and then made him tap. I thought it was entertaining as hell. I think its great that Chris Lieben is back. That guy is entertainment too.

yeah, I mentioned that in my other post, youre right, it was cancelled by fox I think and then went to espn and then just disappeared off the radar screen. Not sure what the deal was.

Ultimate fighter is a much better show..........

but anyways about the boxing show, I think the show is ok, but the fight seens are mad corny with the slow motion/music and the rounds are like 45 seconds long.
