Would you sue a company

if something they said would happen, actually did happen while taking one of their drugs.
Like taking the phen/fen drug, people were warned that it caused hypertension but they would lose weight. They did lose weight but some people also got hypertension, JUST like they were warned.They also got alot of money for it. How can that be possible?
Also, a drug called "remicade" which is good for crohns disease and rheumatoid arthritis, it is the best thing available IMO for that disease but patients have also been warned on blood diseases and disorders.....beforehand, and yet they still sued.
The drugs do what they are promised, and have some bad side effects, and they are listed, but people still get money
I know a lady that took the phen/fen, and she loved it. She took it for just a cpl weeks and her chest started hurting. She went to the dr, they told her she had a heart condition. The phen/fen didnt cause the problem, it only brought it out and that was a good thing, she stopped taking the phen/fen and got her heart problem fixed,
well the next thing i know, shes getting a shit load of money from the company that made the medicine.

Or like at McDonalds, its common sense that the coffee is hot and a lady spilled some on herself and sued and got money?

If you are reffering to people who sue, simply because they can, then I think those people are pieces of shit. I also think that lawmakers are pieces of shit, along with all of their underlings.

If they were told the risks/sides, yet still took the drug and suffered ill effects, they deserve NOTHING with regard to compensation.

And as for the coffee bitch....you know how many times I spilled hot coffee on my nuts before that happened? I should be richer than Bill fucking Gates right now!!

I have a friend with psoriatic arhtritis. It is devastating. The pain is intolerable, & yet, the remicade gave him a lot of relief, even reversing the effects. He also has N.H. Lymphoma, which they suggest may have been predicatd by the remicade. He never even thought of suing. Without the Remicade, he may have already killed himself, from the debilitating effects, & the pain.
In a case like the Phen-Fen though, I think it's a little different. The Drug companies put those warnings in a lot of drugs if there is even a remote chance of adverse reactions. However, the drug was meant for a less serious issue, so it wasn't up there in importance like statins, or anti-depressants. The side effects were down-played so as not to raise any obvious concerns. In that regard, I think the company was negligent & should be subject to lawsuits.
I heard of a guy in NYC who tried to kill himself by jumping in front of a subway. A subway employee saw him & tried to pull him to safety. He lived, but his legs were severed. he sued the subway because they didn't stop him from attempting suicide, & if I remember correctly, he got something like $6,000,000.00.
