It depends...if I had to have lived in NY to get the accent it would not be worth it. If I just woke up tomorrow with an accent, I would choose NY accent in TX. New Yorkers are rude as hell.

TX in NY, I think they are used to hearing a variety of accents as opposed to folks TX.
