Would you rather go skydiving or rob a liquor store?

I really can't decide. They're both good for a rush. Skydiving would cost you money and the chances of dying or getting hurt are pretty slim if you have the right gear and training. Robbing a liquor store on the other hand won't cost you anything if you already have the gun and skimask. The chances of getting shot or arrested can be high if you don't pull it off correctly.

If I really had to choose, I'd say skydiving since robbing a liquor store is really a two man operation: one guy goes in and does his business, the other sits in the car while it's running. Imagine running out to a car that won't start due to the battery. No way.

If you're talking about just doing it once, the training and gear part are irrelevant b/c you are tandem and professionals are taking care of everything. It's like a ride at an amusement part. You're just a passenger. Statistically there is essentially no danger at all. Far less than interstate rushhour in a big city.

And yes it definitely aint cheap that's for sure.

Christ, even the thought of landing in water is scarey considering all the crap that's on you when you hit the ground. I can't imagine getting all that gear off quick enough, and avoiding panicing, before I'd already sunk.

In ROTC we had to pass "drown proofing." You walked off a diving board blind folded, simulating a night operation and falling into a body of water, and you had to shed your rucksack and swim to the pool border unassisted with your weapon or it was a fail. Doing it with jump gear is the same principle.

Airborne troops are assault troops, like marines, their mission is to trade casualties for time. Eisenhower ordered the airborne drops on D-Day thinking they would suffer 80% casualty rates.
