Would you do a cycle if your calves were lagging?

No I don't compete...but I still think it's lame when someone has a huge upper body and pencil calves.

I train calves hard, but I will admit that they aren't that strong. Seems like I can't gain strength that wasy on them. And yes I train them hard!

I guess I'm scared that if I do my cycle, my whole body except my calves will grow. I'd look like pretty bad if that happened! I like to wear shorts. ;)

What does your calf workout look like?

Mine used to be lagging a bunch too. Now I've got them up to speed. I only do them once a week, just like my legs in general. You've just got to start pileing the weight on. I have a very simple leg workout. 3-4 sets of 6 squats, same for leg press, then on to leg curls and extentions same amount. Lastly I do calves on the seated calve raise, I make sure to get the most of the range of motion. I squat heavy so that has caused me to use my calves a lot for balance and when I explode from the bottom I try to push foreward using my calves.

I hate my calves. They are doing the same thing, just can't get them any bigger. They get ripped up but not bigger. I work them twice a week, and they don't grow. I play semi-pro football here in my city and broke my leg about 7 months ago. I just got the ok from Doc to work my legs. I had done a sust only 6 weeker before I broke my leg and my calves had grown a lot. Hopefully this next sust/d-bol 10 weeker will make them grow to!

Your routine will make them grow, not your Sust :chomp:

why not use the cycle to bring them up?

I tend to see a lot of that. It looks aweful. I'm thankful that I've been blessed with good calfs. moooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Best answer yet. No cycle will make something grow, it just enhances the environment for growth. This is body-wide. A lagging bodypart is a genetics/focus/routine problem. Not a gear issue. Thats avoiding the problem, as is the genetics part b/c thats not changing. That leaves focus/intensity and routine.

When on, you should be hitting everything!!!

Calves are a genetic issue 99% of the time. Mine aren't huge but are very strong. I would trade some of the strength for size no prob. The only thing to do is hit'em hard, very hard.
