for me to run in the inaugural Disneyland 1/2 Marathon this Sunday with 9 stitches below my knee and 3 in my elbow???? Doc says he can't take them out til next Monday.

no no, running is very bad. I performed surgery on someone the other day who went for a light jog and really messed up a previous surgery.

well even if everyone here had GREAT experiences with stitches, they aren't you.
I've had lots of stitches, and never busted any, but i never ran a marathon either. (ok, i don't even run to the bathroom).
really, i'm an orthopedic anthromamographer, so i can tell you that it really isn't smart to run with stitches.
