Working out while sick

Is it okay to do it or would it be better off not going at all until the sickness is away? I'm sick right now with the common cold i'm betting and I was thinking about working out today. Should I go on as a normal workout or should today be another deloading day, intensity high, volume low? (I did the intensity high, volume low thing all last week). Or should I not go at all?
 
At the risk of getting other gym goers sick, I would not go at all until you are POSITIVE you are not contagious. Take a few grams of vit c and wait until it passes.
 
I always go to the gym when sick. Then again, I don't lift, I head for the steam room. Nothing clears me up better from a head cold than a good steam.
