like pushups and situps....i tried it last time to get a really good sweat but it really burned my nostrils and lungs breathing deeply that hot air.

is it a bad idea or is it harmless?

Bad idea.

thanks for the quick response.ill take your word for it.i was only doing it to sweat faster cuz i was running late for something.i usually just lie there and hope there isnt anybody naked right next to me when i open my eyes...ive had bad experiences

Don't. Dehydration and definately not healthy.

What about Bickrim Yoga?

Popular but not sure its effective and its certainly not a workout. Just because you sweat people are tricked into thinking its a tough way to get in shape therefore worth doing. It's smoke and mirrors. Good for the joints and some stretching but your athletic performances also decreases an estimated 5% for every 1lb of water you drop. Also for the augmented guys I would worry about their blood pressure.

All very good points.

Thanks,

Certainly. That being said, I don't discount it being a great way to work on flexibility etc. The Eastern Block countries had some much research on hot/cold therapy for recovery along with adaptogenic supplements.

I can barely put my foot on the opposite knee to put my socks on, but I sure can reach down to a bar or drop into the whole ;)

I think flexibility work should find a place in my life.

But that is whole other discussion.
