Working out everyday

Is it okay to work out everday?
I mean, dont you need to give your muscles some time to relax?
I know some people who work out everday, and some that go every other day.
I guess for the people who work out everday they work out diffrent muscle groups and rotate them.
whats the best way.

Bro...

Everyone responds differently. The body is VERY adaptable. Figure out a routine that works best with the time you have to workout along with your goals.

Food for thought:

"There is no such thing as overtraining; there's under eating and under resting"

I think some can do it, all depends on your nutrition, sleep, and training style...post it up...

Everyone is different. I work a very strange schedule, so this week I have more time to workout, than I will next week. I will have one day between workouts this week, and then next week I might have three days off. I do find that my optimum training split is 3 on and 1 off.

it all depens on the person,i personally like to do 4 days on 1 day off,but i dont have time for that anymore between work and school,i cant fallow that routine, all my workouts are at night which it sucks, now i just go mon-fri and take the weekend off....

If your goals are to be bigger, stronger, more muscular then its a bad idea.

If your goals are to get all ripped up for summer and max out with 135 on the flat then go right ahead.. you don't need rest.

Come on bro. Diet is everything, gain or loose... training won't rip you up... diet does.

I've gotten stronger and more muscular working a 1 off training split before as well.

Thread starter needs to post goals, details to get more appropriate and broken down ideers.

Well ive been an off and on gym goer for quite sometime now. I guess my problem is dedication. I guess I get bored with my routine, i think i just need to find new workouts, or just use my own imagination and make up new routines for myself.
But yeah, im looking to get fit, diet well. I dont want to be super huge, just fit, athletic.
For the last week I have worked out everymorning before work. Today at work I was very very tired, and had a shit workout. I dont understand if im not getting enough sleep, because I get at least 8hrs and I eat healthy. I've been watching what i eat. Maybe im not eating enough? I think i need to do some research on dieting and working out cuz I know how much more hungry i get when i work out regulary.

my bet is that your workout sucks AND you don't eat enough... just a hunch.

Are you trying to eat 4-6 times a day? Eat small healthy meals/snacks during the day and you will feel a lot better. Also, make sure you are taking some sort of multi vitamin, or vitamin pack.

As for workouts, I will always design my own. I find what I like about certain workouts, and customize them to fit me and my goals. The one thing that I will always tell anyone, is there is no one perfect routine for everyone. We all have different bodies, goals, etc., so find one routine you like, and tweak it to fit you.

precisely... everyone needs to take a workout TEMPLATE as opposed to a cookie cutter and fill in the blanks to tailor it to their specific needs/weaknesses. you and me and the majority on this board are able to do that. however, this requires a little experience... your average gym rat won't be able to come up with something efficient enough.
