Work out when still sore?

Muscle size is added when the muscle recovers from being torn apart while working out.

I am still sore from a previous workout, should I wait till I am not sore anymore before I work out muscle again? Or is being sore ok?

Does being sore mean that you are not recovered all the way yet and should wait?

What is your experience?
 
I've read many places you should wait for full recovery before working out again.

Plus working out when you're sore would become half-assed.
 
If you are still sore most likely you are not recovered. Soreness typically indicates that lactic acid is present along with a few micro tears in the muscles. Give yourself another days worth of rest. Let your body rebuild itself. Good Luck!
 
i agree, youre muscles are not fully healed yet, remember when youre lifting youre tearing microfibers in your muscles...working out while youre sore will only tear them up more, give them time to heal, take a day off and eat eat eat!
