For the record: All karma store interactions are to be done by hand, as you are responsible for them. Automating bombings (and their reversal) would be a billable Plat feature if we chose to offer it. Rolling your own solution is therefore not allowed, for the same reason we don't allow a non-Plat to use autosig.

what do you mean by "rolling your own solution"?
and how could you possibly auto bomb and auto diffuse?
 
Its pretty kewl to be able to roll your own however.

Isn't there something else to be worring about, I mean really? I had no idea people paid so much attention to me. I say "auto diffuse on" and all of a sudden the site admin has to go on record?

I fuckin diffuse my bombs the second they are dropped, no need for anyone to get their panties in a twist.

If I was genius enough to code up some little web script to automatically diffuse, how exactly would that rule be enforced? I am allowed to run whatever I want on my client right? I mean, can you guy really tell people not to install the google/yahoo toolar or any other brower plug in/add on created by a 3rd party that they want?

An auto bomber or diffuser would be tough, they'd both need different triggers, and for the diffuse what exactly would it be looking for to start the script.. the k store history? the auto generated PM? Neither of which would be picked up unless the script was actively refreshing.. which would be a huge pain and drain on resources anyway.

I'm glad you care though and even thought I took the time to develop such a nifty wizbang.

exactly. I don't know why digger would even care really... but if you stop and think about it for a minute, if I did code something like that he should be offering me a job not giving official word that there are no automatic bombings or diffusals.

He should feel proud of himself for picking on wootoom already once today.. I know you can't put TIME OUT as a used title.. but he put TIMED OUT.. you know, like a post that TIMES OUT while you are waiting for it... i recognized it as a joke, and if I wasn't sure, I would have asked. shitty way to treat a paying member... someone who posts regularly.. and even buys karma and what not.

Ironic to read a thread complaining that the site was running slow within about ninety minutes of a thread by the same guy preening about adding people to his auto-diffuse, n'est pas?

I agree that bombs should cost MORE to diffuse then to drop.
 
I still think there should be a shield available in the store as a prophylactic device against bombs. It could cost extra each time it's actually needed. This coupled with an increase in the price of diffusing could make some evenings interesting.
