In my start menu on my computer...how do i delete the items in the "Documents" tab?

The reason i am asking is because i want to clean my PC at work the best i can.

I cleared the history, cookies, and temp internet files....am i missing anything?

Under documents, when the individual items show up, right click on them and hit delete to send them to recycle bin. Go there do delete off.

Go to the Start Bar.. Click on Settings then task bar, then click on the Start menu programs tab, then hit clear on the documents menu box.

If there is Wodin will know. I'm sure there has been times when he had to remove all the nekkid pics of ssme in a hurry.

Thanks guys..if i clear that and the cookies, history, and temp internet files each night am i safe?

I would never try to steal your and Havoc's boy toy by accepting nekkid pics of him.

Don't forget your temp directories:

C:\Temp
C:\Windows\Temp
C:\Winnt\Temp

You may have any or all of those directories.

As an IT guy, just so you know: you can be tracked in other ways besides your PC specifically. Assuming your company is behind a firewall, every website you access is probably logged.

Whether or not someone reviews those logs is another matter entirely.

right click the bar on the bottom of the screen (not on top of the start menu), then hit properites then click the start menu properties tag, then hit clear...

Is it possible to take ur self of shared from your lan..

also

What i do is A. go to the computer icon-click

B. right click on c drive then go down to where is says properities
click then

c. click on disk clean-up

Assuming you're running some flavour of windows, go to network properties and turn off file and print sharing. Others won't be able to see you on the lan.

Where are the network props located?

Right click on Network Neighborhood, then properties, then click on the File and Print Sharing button, then make sure both check boxes aren't checked.

Yup...the next time your network admin tries to do something to your system and can't, he's likely to get a little ticked.

If you've got Windows NT or 2000 at work, you may not be able to change it at all.

Depends on how strict the admin is, and how the network is setup.

If someone looks for your machine on the network they'll know that you're not on it. It's not a big deal to turn back on though.

I work at four different locations and only one of them has NT...it figures that is the one i am at today.
