Do you perform speed sets of 20 with pulls for your back as well? If so, have you only used it with Deads or have you applied it to barbell rows and chins?

I was thinking about placing the 20's into my routine in the future but I think with the speed sets and a pull might be hard on the joints.

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I do speed sets on Pulls, deads and rows.


Deads make me woozy ...

It hurts like hell for the most part but it isn't going to cause anymore joint pain than anything else. At least thats been my experience.

For the compound movement only (Dead, Squat, Press) Correct me if I'm wrong woody but I don't think you use this for wrist curls?

Speed sets on deads are fine, once a month or so...helps with endurance more than strength.....but watch that form, or it's marble sack in the ol' throat for you.....;)
 
What percentage of your max do you do on speed sets? I would imaging it would be low considering the number of reps.
